I think I shall start a weekly occurence on the Rockalot Blog. I shall call it "Tech Tip Wednesday". Any great tech tips that I happen to stumble across (or steal from Carlos - nothin but love for you
brutha) I will share with everyone every Wednesday. So let it be written, so let it be done!
My first tip is an iTunes tip. (This one I found on my own) This tip is only for Mac users. If you are not a Mac user you need to repent, and get saved. This is a widget program for your dashboard. It is called "Sing That iTune". The program runs in dashboard. The program searches the web automatically for the album art and lyrics to whatever song you are currently playing in iTunes and downloads both of them into iTunes and the information for that song. IT IS INCREDIBLE! I have been looking for something like this for a long time because I find a great song and I need the lyrics and I have to search the web for the to find a bad copy (most of the time) cut and paste, reformat, and save them into iTunes. This does everything for you all by itself. So if you think this would help you here's how you get it.
TIP: Go to your Dashboard and click on the "+" sign in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
There is a little button that comes up that says "Manage widgets", click on that button.
A pop up window appears in the middle of your screen with a button at the bottom of the window called "More widgets", click that button.
That opens up a your browser and takes you to a widget downloads page. In the search bar at the top type in "Sing That iTunes". After it finds the program, download it and follow the instructions to install it into your dashboard. It is very simple to install. If you have any trouble leave me a comment and I'll help you out.
There you go, the first Tech Tip Wednesday, iTunes style!
