Survivor-Oklahoma Style

I am a Survivor fan, and when my brother (the one who wears the tie) sent me this I just had to share it.  Being from Oklahoma helps to really appreciate it, but pretty much anyone from the south will appreciate this.

Due to the popularity of the Survivor shows, Oklahoma is planning to do its own, entitled "Survivor-Oklahoma Style."

The contestants will start in Tahlequah, travel to Tulsa, going west on 51 thru Hulbert, proceed to Coweta, get on the Broken Arrow by-pass exit on Memorial, go south thru Bixby continue south on hwy 64 thru Lenord and Big Bear country then continue thru Haskell to hwy 16 on into Muskogee taking hwy 62 back into Tahlequah again and park in front of Ned's place.

Each will be driving a pink Volvo with a bumper sticker that reads I am gay, I am a vegetarian, I voted for Al Gore, George Strait sucks, Hillary in 2008, protect our fish and deer, and I am here to confiscate your guns".

The first one to make it back to Tahlequah alive wins.

I Have the Greatest Friends in the World

I Finally Saw Cirque Du Soleil!

I was in Vegas this past Thursday-Saturday attending the LDI show/convention with my leadership team (minus one - sorry Sherri).  The convention was incredible and we saw some of the most phenomenal new technology in lighting, projection, and sound.  I highly reccomend this convention.  It's held every year in Vegas.

While we were there we saw KA' one of the new Cirque Du Soleil shows at the MGM Grand in Vegas.  I can not describle to you how amazing and unbelievably blown away we were.  The things they are able to conceptualize and bring to reality are truly amazing and unbelievable until you see them for yourself (which I think is a must).  The convention was excellent, BUT taking my staff to see Cirque was the best investment I could have made.  It opened our minds to think in completely different ways and realize new realms of creativity.  If you ever get the chance to take your family, team, or friends don't miss it.  It will change your life, and I mean that.

Top 20 Reasons I Know I'm a Californian

    1. My coworker has 8-body piercings and none are visible (don't ask who).

    2. I make over $300,000 a year (yeah right, I wish) and still can't afford a house.

My New Digs

Well, after 5 months I have finally settled into my new office here at my new home church.  After much unpacking, shopping, decorating, and hanging I have my office dialed in.  Here are some pics of my home away from home.

And yes, that is a 51" LCD screen, a picture of Kramer, and a painting of a rooster on my wall.  The paintings are of Jacob when he wrestled with the angel (with that passage of scripture written all across it), and a rooster.  At the bottom of the rooster painting read carefully.  It says, "And Peter wept."  Very powerful.

One final thought:  Lost party at my house.  Doors open at 9p, viewing starts at 9:30p.
