....to Forest Home we GO!  Me and the fam will be at Forest Home family camp all this week.  I am leading worship for the camp .  It's our first time there and everyone we have talked to says it's UNBELIEVABLE so we are really looking forward to it.  There is no internet, cell phone, or TV reception there so I won't be calling, emailing, or blogging this entire week.  We are back on Friday night so I'll upload some pics and return to the blogging world then.  Loveyameanit ---J

Free Fallin'

Day 8 of the 30 day vacation was spent at Six Flags Magic Mountain.  It was AWESOME!!  I spent all day there and rode almost every roller coaster and a couple of them twice.  BUT, the best ride of the day was the DEVIL DIVE!!  The Devil Dive is like skydiving without a parachute.  It's a 150 foot, 60 mile an hour free fall.  Basically.....it ROCKS!!  I got the video to prove it.  Sorry for no audio.  I had some difficulties with their format of DVD.  But you really don't need the audio, the video says it ALL!  (The two outer cookies to my creme filling are Debra and Lola.)

His First Guitar...

Today was my oldest boy's (JB) 9th birthday.  I bought him his first guitar.  He has been asking for one for the last 3 years and now the time is right.  So, this is the first day of the next generation songwriter/singer/worship leader/guitar player.  He said it was the best day of his life.  He also told me that he wanted to grow up to be just like me.......then it became the best day of MY life.  Happy Birthday son.  I love you.  ---Dad

Magic Carpet Ride

Day 6 of the 30 day vacation and all is VERY well!  We finished our west coast tour of San Francisco, Monterey, Big Sur, and Hearst Castle.  We took a magic carpet ride when we were in Frisco on Pier 39.  I have uploaded the video of our ride.  Each of us had our individual responsibilities:  Booba and Spencer were the pilot and co-pilot, JB and nanny Debbie were the stunt people, Meagan was the token beautiful girl, MB was the "wig lady", and I......well I was.....Superman.  I did not cast myself in this roll as many of you probably are thinking.  But Debra says my natural qualities were radiant and evident to the man casting this short film.  So here it is:

Monterey!

Day 4 of the 30 day vacation and all is going great!  (that just sounds good)  We spent the day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium (among other things that we will talk about later).  It was amazing!  God's blessings were abundant yet again.  Debra (the nanny) got in free.  Just another small blessing and reminder of how God likes to take care of us.  The jellyfish exhibits are UNBELIEVABLE!  I took some video of them so you have a taste of what it was like.  After that we hung out in downtown Monterey.  The Red Bull US Motorcycle Grand Prix is coming to town tomorrow and there were bikes EVERYWHERE!  (it was my picture of what heaven will be like)  So they had racing bikes, classic racing bikes, and an auction exhibit that we got to experience and see all for free (yet another blessing).  It was just a fabulous day.  Here are some pics from the day and the video of the jellyfish.  Enjoy.  We miss everybody!  See you soon  ---J and family

Frisco!

Sorry it's been a while since my last blog.  I just got Internet service today.  (kinda a long story)  But just to let you know that we spent the last 2 days in San Francisco and it was AMAZING!!  God has upgraded us several times in several different ways.  One of which was, we were supposed to be staying in the Travelodge (money don't grow on trees) a few blocks from Fisherman's Wharf.  Well, because of a goof on Hotels.com's part we got upgraded to the HILTON ON FISHERMAN'S WHARF!  Yeah, baby!!  We walked the pier and spent most of our time on PIER 39.  It was very fun and I sang a little bit to try to raise money for dinner and embarrassed my daughter completely. (it was awesome)  Then my third child Spencer (second boy) did some break dancing on the wharf.  It was amazing!  We saw the Golden Gate bridge and rode the trolley's everywhere today.  Now we are in Monterey and ready to visit the Aquarium.  Here are some pics from the last 2 days, but first the break dancing video!!

Yes I Know.....

my banner is all screwed up.  I tried to remember how to recreate one after Los had showed me how about a month ago and obviously my memory is not as good as I had hoped.  I'm editing my pictures in Fireworks so if any of you are familiar with that program and can help me through it I would greatly appreciate it.  I really like the design.....but need it bigger......until then.

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!!!!

Yeah baby....vacation.  After I lead worship at Bayside in Sacramento this weekend I will be taking a MONTH off for vacation.  Yes...you heard me right....A MONTH!  The family will be driving up to meet me in Sacramento and then we are going to head over to San Francisco for a day or two and see the Golden Gate bridge (which I have yet to see), Fisherman's Wharf, and Alcatraz.  Then down to Monterrey to visit the aquarium (which I heard is unbelievable), continue by driving the 1 highway along the coast, and finally visiting Hearst Castle.  It should be an incredible trip.  I'm not one to drive with the whole family but I am really looking forward to the road trip.  For all you "Coast Hillers" I'll be back the 3rd weekend in August.  I will really miss you guys. See you in a month!
